What is ADR?
ADR is alternative dispute resolution – a range of options for resolving disputes without going to court. ADR includes mediation, adjudication, arbitration, conciliation and ombudsman schemes.
What is the ADRnow website?
An information website which gives an overview of ADR schemes in the UK, an outline of how they work, and an honest appraisal of their pros and cons. It is independent of ADR providers and government. It is kept up to date, and was last revised on July 24th 2008. Who runs the ADRnow website?
The Advice Services Alliance (ASA). ASA is a registered charity, and is the umbrella body for independent, not-for-profit advice networks in the UK. To find out more, go to About ASA.

Why does ASA run this site?
We believe that everyone should be able to make an informed decision about how best to resolve a dispute. To do this, you need to know what is out there, how it works, and how to get in touch with the scheme.
